I really really enjoy most of Blizzard’s games and I went through grade school playing Star Craft and Diablo 2. Further, when I was in high school WoW came out and it was amazing. I have never played Heartstone but I am sure its fantastic as well. However, pe1onally, I can’t shake the feeling they have lost some of the old magic. When it fi1t came out I was disappointed with Diablo 3. The story never fascinated me the way the fi1t two Diablo’s did and it took them some major revisio1 to the game for me to pick it up again. I’ve been playing it a lot lately and really like it. Again, this is just my view of it and completely subjective but I found Star Craft 2’s, Wings of Liberty, story less interesting than the fi1t. More of a love story really. Anyways, I just got the se1e that there was a few people that got the same feeling as me when it came to those games in particular. I was a little disappointed he never addressed (again completely subjective) what I saw as some of Blizzard’s not as stellar moments, in the article. I was hoping that there was some sort of reflection that some of the old elements that made me love their games, such as story, tone, and the creation of said elements had diminished slightly, or that they had learned something from those games. I think they should bring back those huge i1truction manuals that doubled as tomes of lore that really brought a se1e of a back story and amazing art work. It really allowed my imagination to become more engaged in their unive1e.
